    I'm thinking about buying one of these. Here's my question. I currently have a Tama acoustic kit that has a felt beater. Is that ok to use on this kit? I know that felt shouldn't be used on a mesh but I can't find any info on what the kick drum is made of. Maybe I can turn my current beater and use the plastic side? Thank you

    Beautiful presentation!
    I have a question: I own a td 17 first version.
    Is it possible to get the same sounds with upgrades?
    Thank you

      Yes, that should be possible if you update it to the latest version

    I’m looking right now between this and the Roland td7kv2. Obviously this one is of higher quality but the more “compact” size of the td7 is what’s swinging me toward buying it. Is it possible to arrange this setup more compact so the “footnote” is much smaller than on this video?

    • @rxw5520
      @rxw5520 Месяц назад

      looking at roland website specs, the td17kv2 is 3 inches wider than the td07kv. depth and height are identical.

    Can the hi hats be mounted and not on a traditional stand?

    • @pieflies
      @pieflies 4 месяца назад +1

      The TD-17KV2 has a rack mounted hi-hat and one less cymbal compared to the TD-KVX2

      Less than that, and you’ll be buying rubbish that doesn’t perform well and doesn’t last. That’s not good for beginners.

      @@trexabyte9943 No, I mean kits less than the TD-17 won’t perform as well and won’t be durable. The TD-17 is a great beginner kit.

      @@kikodrums9239 It's more than just a beginners kit though. Advanced drummers can also use these very well.
      It's just a very solid E-Drum.

    How do I tune my mesh heads like this which interval do you use and how do you measure the tone you are going for? Or is it just by ear ?

    • @MichaelDionneDrummer
      @MichaelDionneDrummer Год назад

      Since they are mesh heads, you don't tune them for the tone, but more for the feel.

    • @bleistik821
      @bleistik821 Год назад

      @@MichaelDionneDrummer sure but still they give you a Sound when hitting them and I could tune for that Sound couldn't I?

    • @MichaelDionneDrummer

      @@MichaelDionneDrummer yes but if I would, for whichever reason play my e-drum with the Module turned of, it would sound better.
      Which brings me back to my question, how would I do that?

    • @MichaelDionneDrummer
      @MichaelDionneDrummer Год назад

      @@bleistik821 The same way as you would do with acoustic heads. Tighten or loosen the lugs to the desired pitch on each pad and make sure that each lug on the same pad has the same pitch.

    I bought one of these but it didn’t come with a hi hat stand, and it said that the c 5 crash is to be used as a hi hat, is this normal?

    • @rxw5520
      @rxw5520 Месяц назад

      You may have the td-17kv2 instead of the kvx2? the c5 cymbal is the hi hat for the KV2. The KVX2 should include two CY12C-T crash cymbals and the VH-10 hi hat.
      If you have the c5 hi hat, you do not need a hi hat stand as it mounts onto the frame. If you have the VH-10 hi hat, you need to buy a hi hat stand separately, and there are many options.
      If you ever want to upgrade kv2 to kvx2 down the road, you'll just need to buy a VH10 (or other compatible hi hat) + hi hat stand, and a second crash.

      Alesis Strata comes with dedicated VST DRUM LIBRARY. Okay, It is 2024, and Roland is still playing around with people with these ridiculous samples.
      FOR THIS TD17, you would need a laptop and some serious drum sample libraries.
